Developed in 1989
and Going Strong
MNRI, also known as Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration, is a therapy method that was founded by Dr. Svetlana Masgutova in 1989 to improve physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development through reflex integration.
Understanding
Reflex Integration
Reflex integration is the natural maturation of infant reflexes as a child grows. The Neurosensorimotor circuit, made up of the nervous, sensory, and motor systems, must be working efficiently and in sync for reflex integration to happen properly. Reflex integration therapy builds impaired circuits and restores safety and function to the body.

A Foundation for Growth
Infant reflexes provide protection for a baby and are the building blocks of all future development. Every reflex that emerges and matures properly gifts the body with unique functional abilities; for example, a mature Spinal Galant Reflex supports spinal movement and bowel and bladder control; a mature ATNR is essential for coordination and efficient auditory processing; and the Babkin Palmomental reflex directly supports hand-mouth coordination needed for feeding and all later fine-motor skills.
What Happens When Integration Doesn’t Happen?
When a reflex doesn’t mature and integrate as it should, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development may be affected. Reflex dysfunction is a sign of underlying issues in the neurosensorimotor circuit that are likely impacting multiple areas of development.

Who Can Benefit
Infants
MNRI helps babies develop, mature, and integrate primary reflexes, creating a strong foundation for healthy movement and growth across all areas. Early support sets the stage for reaching milestones with confidence.
Children
Children with unintegrated reflexes may struggle with coordination, sensory processing, learning, or emotional regulation. MNRI identifies and integrates misfiring reflexes to support overall development.
Adults
Reflexes that remain unintegrated can affect sensory processing, executive function, movement, and stress responses. MNRI helps adults build or restore efficient neurosensorimotor function, leading to improved well-being.

Who, What, When & Why
What is reflex integration?
Reflex integration is the natural maturation of infant reflexes as a child grows. Multiple systems in the body need to be working efficiently and in sync for reflex integration to happen properly and at the right age.
Why does reflex integration matter?
Integrated reflexes support movement, learning, behavior, and emotional regulation. If the reflexes are misfiring, safety and all areas of development can be impacted.
Why might a reflex not integrate?
Stress, birth complications, illness, trauma, or limited movement opportunities can keep reflexes “stuck.” Reflexes have a protective function, therefore the body must feel safe in order for reflex integration to proceed efficiently.
Is reflex integration therapy only for babies?
No. Reflex integration supports newborns through adults. While early work integrates faster, meaningful change is possible at any age.
What sets reflex integration apart from other therapies?
Reflexes are the body’s foundational wiring, so this work targets root causes, not symptoms. Because reflexes bypass the cerebral cortex, the work is effective even with zero client participation such as with babies, nonverbal, or even sleeping individuals.
How does Nestora ensure that every client feels at ease?
Our treatment approach is client-centered, gentle, and supportive. We place strong value on the client's feeling of safety within the intervention.
Do I or my child need a diagnosis to benefit?
Not at all.The body depends on an efficient neurosensorimotor circuit in order to master skills such as speech, movement, learning, emotional regulation, sensory processing, socialization, and more. Reflex integration therapy creates a stronger foundation so that all higher level skills can thrive, enabling the person to maximize their potential.
What is the Golden Window Program?
The Golden Window Program uses gentle reflex integration to give your infant a strong, confident start, helping them reach milestones successfully. Just 2-3 sessions of reflex integration therapy in the first 4-6 months of life prevents or mitigates future delays by creating a strong foundation for all future growth.
Is this method evidence-based?
Yes. Research supporting this approach can be found at the Svetlana Masgutova Educational Institute - www.masgutovamethod.com.
